Redesign of the Surf & Grind Gasteiz website, the surf, skate and board-sports association of Álava. Zine aesthetics, Spanish, Basque and English, and a custom admin so the board can publish without touching code.

A static Astro site: each page’s markup is written once and receives every language’s copy as data, so Basque cannot silently fall behind. For what changes, an admin at /admin —the only place that loads React and Supabase— with a block editor, blog, news, calendar, forms and images.
Editorial zine look: paper cream, carbon black and a single orange accent. The association’s photography does the rest
Copy lives apart from markup and only pages that are actually translated get built: an honest 404 beats a half-translated page
The editor is not a free-form builder: its blocks come from sections that already exist, with no colour or size fields. The only decision is what to highlight
Publishing in the admin does not deploy. A daily cron rebuilds the site when something scheduled has gone live
Three files with the same HTML and different copy drift apart on the second change. This way they can’t.
